Gay Days 2012

As I mentioned in my previous post, this weekend is Gay Days at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim CA. You would be surprised how many LGBTQ community members travel from far distances to attend (especially after the incredible entrance fee hike Disney announced earlier this year).

I had a GREAT time. Although I only visited a couple of attractions in seven hours, it was the social aspect that made it such a good day. I didn't take a lot of pictures, but do want to share some of those I did. (Click an image to see a [hopefully] larger version.)

My friends, Roger (l) and his partner Dave (r). They live in WA and Roger and I have chatted for years. FINALLY met these two fun, sexy bears. Note their shirts...both instant classics.
Bears! At the Hungry Bear Restaurant, of course.
Muscle Bear....you should have seen how handsome (and hot) he was!
More bears!
A sea of red wherever the eye looked!
A woofy bear...it looks blurry because I had to crop and enlarge the original pic.
More bears! Roger is in the foreground...the shirt on the guy behind him says "Lost Boy Looking For Peter!"
"Lost Boy's" calf tat - I want!
Eric...we went on one date back 5 years ago...it was great seeing (and flirting) with him.
Roger, Dave and I had just gotten on the train when these hot bears got into line. I waved at the bigger bearded one...he waved back! As the train pulled out of the station he waved again. He had a gorgeous smile!
After spending time at Disneyland, we went to California Adventure. I saw these cuties in the entrance line.
Adorable (and talkative) bears outside of the Frankenweenie 4D sneak peek.
One of the California Adventure stores...I thought it was funny (think perverted like me).
So there you have it...the few pics I took. Although all we did were the canoes and the Frankenweenie sneak peek, it was great seeing old friends and making new friends. It was a relaxed day - perfect for admiring the incredible representation of the LGBTQ community at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Would love to go there. Too bad it's 3,000 miles away. Now I know why CA has a bear on it's flag!
