Just another quick note to say that I'm loving my new job. Sure it's kind of easy right now but consider these facts:
- Monday the company provided my lunch because it was my first day and I was in Orientation.
- Tuesday my breakfast and lunch were provided because I was in an all day class facilitated by my coworker.
- Tonight my dinner was provided by my East Coast boss because he happened to be visiting. He took me to a swanky restaurant in Pasadena (CA) where we shared a bottle of wine, had crab cakes for starter, and I had a petite filet as my entree. Delicious! And he picked up the tab (as he should).
Unfortunately there are no free meals tomorrow. Unless I count the Halloween Happy Hour after work!

Every once in a while, my department holds a meeting at iHop. It's usually an excuse to meet off-site and enjoy each other's company over a nosh. Most of the time my boss pays, which is nice of him since most of us are willing to pay our own way. This morning we had an iHop meeting. Did you know that the current promotion is "all you can eat pancakes?" It is! I forget what the name of the meal is but it consisted of two eggs, two sausage or bacon (I had sausage), hash browns, and pancakes. It comes with two; the all you can eat is three. So I had five pancakes. I know most men could eat more than this but I had already had oatmeal and a venti coffee earlier. If I don't eat within an hour of rising I get a headache and very cranky. So I'm feeling stuffed. Maybe I'll walk it all off tonight. URP!
Every year when the Gay Days event happens, the bear community tends to meet for a meal at - where else - The Hungry Bear restaurant. This year they had something new: Bear Meal. It was a double-bacon cheeseburger, fries, a drink (non-alcoholic of course) and a dessert.
The burger itself was typical Disney fare but it filled me up for about an hour. The dessert was a tad disappointing, it was only a chocolate chip cookie (one of the large kind, smaller than a saucer but bigger than your average cookie). All of this for the low price of $12.99 plus tax. With my passholder discount and tax the total came to $12.01. Still overpriced but how often does one eat a bear meal with bears? BEHR HUGS!!
