O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!

I know you've all heard the news by now. Incredible, almost unbelievable, phenomenal, happy, joyous news.

Osama bin Laden. Dead.

I turned off the movie I was watching shortly before 8 pm Pacific Time so I could watch "Amazing Race." There was someone blah-blah-blahing about something or other. A picture caught my eye: bin Laden dead. I sat, enraptured. I grabbed my laptop and accessed Twitter and started reading the tweets coming fast and furious confirming the news. Then the tweets turned humorous and patriotic and you could FEEL the patriotism flowing through the tweets.

Did you watch President Obama speak? He did us proud. I dare the GOP to discredit anything he said. They will, you know there will be criticism and to those people I say STFU. Seriously. And the best part of Obama's speech? Mentioning equal rights for all its (America's) citizens.

I'm telling you...POTUS rocks. IMHO.

This is by no means the end of terrorism or Al Queda or those who hate America. But it is a mighty blow against those forces of evil.

In honor of this momentous action:

A very proud moment.

As someone who stood in the WTC Plaza on 9/11 and watched body parts rain down around - and lost friends there - and is now on permanent disability for PTSD - I'll say something I've never said before: I hope he "enjoys" every moment in hell. God damn him.

I am a confirmed liberal/progressive who denounces violence and war and even guns. And I am anti-death penalty.

But that fucking scumbag bastard deserved it. He deserved WORSE.

I don't care what anyone says, this is a moment of great pride which should be celebrated. And I would be saying the same exact thing if this happened during George W. Bush's presidency.

And I can report to you that the good citizens of NYC have a little extra spring in their step today.

XOXOXO

It's called leadership. Something we sorely lacked during the horrible Bush/Cheney years. All that Bush accomplished was to drag us into needless wars based on lies and flush our economy down the toilet. I would like to see Bush and Cheney brought to justice just as Bin Laden was!

This news is welcoming! It took 10 years but all the efforts paid off!
