SIR Dracula

That's right folks! Christopher Lee has also received a knighthood in the Queen's Birthday Honours list for services to drama and charity.

He's best known as Dracula - a role he played over half a dozen times - but his filmography also includes the role of Saruman in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the father of Willie Wonka (Johnny Depp) in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fu Manchu, the creature in The Curse of Frankenstein, Kharis in The Mummy, Burgomaster in Sleepy Hollow, and Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus in Star Wars
episodes I, II, and III.

Congratulations Sir Christopher Lee!

From Across the Pond

I'm a huge anglophile so news from "across the pond" tends to make me sit up and notice. For example, for services to golf, Nick Faldo, a six-time major winner on the European Tour has been knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

Now, I'm not much into golf. I'd much rather watch paint dry. Or spend time with a small child. However, in searching the Web for pictures of Sir Nick Faldo it occurred to me that perhaps they should call him SIR DADDY. He's a pretty hot looking 51-year old, wouldn't you say? And he bears a striking resemblance to Harrison Ford. Oh and check out the last pic of a young shirtless Nick...in black and white of course! BEHR HUGS!
