Red Letter Day

Today is my "Friday" since I'm taking tomorrow and Monday as vacation days. I have officially entered into my last 16 work days of 2011. And that includes another trip to the San Francisco area for work. Definitely something worth celebrating with any one of these men.

Behr Pick: Red Bear

When I was five years old, I made my first friend in kindergarten: his name was Kirk and he was a redhead. And I loved Kirk. I called him "Cookie." I vaguely remember being invited to his birthday party - probably because we were in the same class rather than his actual wanting me to be there.

He moved away shortly thereafter. I remember being devastated. So much so that even to this day, every time I see or meet a redheaded "Kirk" who is around my age I secretly wonder: is this him?

I enjoy photos such as these, where the photographer (or someone) has manipulated the image so only certain parts are in color. Makes for a very striking picture, imo.

I'm catching up on blogs, doing laundry, trying to get Winston to not be pissed at me for being gone for a week, and doing little puttering things around the house. Later on I'll post my experiences in SF....so many stories to tell! So in the meantime, BEHR HUGS!!
